We schedule put in times around your request. We strive to put each individual group in separately. We will transport you up the Little Platte River via a shuttle bus at one of the four drop off points of your choosing upon reservation. You will float back to Smithville Lake Access 6 which is located at the end of O Highway just a quarter mile from BigFoote Outfitter’s Store. Floating reservations guarantee a timely put in. BigFoote Outfitters reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.

Shuttling Your Personal Kayak for Destination Float
- $25 per kayak (price is per kayak not per group)
- We can shuttle you and your kayak to any of the destination float sites seven (7) days a week. Reservations recommended but you can call in the morning for daily availability.
Floating Your Own Path
You will be shuttled and dropped off at Smithville Lake Public Access 6, just south of BigFoote Outfitters and picked back up at the same spot either 4 hours or 8 hours after drop off.

Float Trip Guidelines
- If there is a threat of severe weather, you will receive a rain check that is valid for one year from the date of your reservation. If the severe weather passes by noon rain checks will not be given.
- No glass bottles. It’s the law!
- Do not litter the river or on the land. You will be provided with a net bag so please help us keep the river & banks clean by picking up litter and hauling it to your pick up location.
- Latest take out time is 7:00 pm on Friday & Saturdays and 6:00 pm Sunday thru Thursday. Late take out fee is $25 per hour per kayak. No exceptions.
- All kayaks must end up at the designated take out point at Smithville Lake Public Access 6 at the end of O Highway.
- You are responsible for all equipment rented to you. Charges will apply for broken and/or lost paddles and life jackets. Normal wear and tear on the kayak is expected. In the event a vessel or equipment is lost or damaged beyond the normal wear and tear, repair expenses or replacement cost will be charged to the renter of said vessel and/or equipment.
- We strive to ensure you have a safe trip. However, floating and water activities come with personal risks.
- Swimming during your float or during your stay at BigFoote Outfitters is at your own risk. There are no lifeguards on duty. BigFoote Outfitters does not assume responsibility for personal injury, medical payments, property loss or damage.
- Notice there is a 4% credit card fee on the amount processed. Example: $100 reservation would be $104.00 charged. Forms of payment accepted are cash and credit card. Prices are subject to change.
Cancellation
- A $10 fee per cancelled kayak applies if notification call is not received seven days prior to float. If you do not call and do not show up, you will be charged the full price for your reservation.
